Dr. Kim envisions dentistry as an experience that should be both fun and inviting. Interestingly, his very own childhood fear of the dentist fueled his lifelong passion for helping people feel at ease in the dental chair. He is down-to-earth and kind, willing to take time with patients to ensure they are relaxed and well-informed about their dental health treatments.
His philosophy for providing dental care is to treat patients the way he would want to be treated, and approaching individual teeth as works of art requiring craftsmanship. With an eye for aesthetics, Dr. Kim likes to communicate and understand patients’ expectations, to deliver beautiful results with a tailor-made plan while also ensuring optimal health and longevity for their smiles. Ultimately, his goal is for patients to have fun while working together with them to create beautiful, natural smiles.
Dr. Kim, bilingual in both English and Korean, was born in South Korea and moved to Canada at the age of 11. He attended a Canadian boarding school and then studied electrical engineering at the University of Toronto. After graduating from the University of Toronto with honors, he studied further to complete the Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry.
Being a dedicated doctor, Dr. Kim spends many hours every weekend to continuing education to ensure he can always provide patients with treatments at the forefront of advancements in dental technology.
When Dr. Kim is not devoting his energy to patient care, he enjoys spend time at the gym, exploring the city – enjoying it’s vibrant energy, and seeking new adventures.

We recently switched to Dr. Nakada and are so happy that we did. He provides full dental treatment, so we don’t need to visit multiple dentists. Office staffs are always nice too. Saturday availability is a huge plus.
